Mail Art

Everywhere —  Art

Mail Art started as an excuse to make something and share it. During Covid, when many of us were spending long stretches at home, we began to think about art differently. Instead of focusing on the final piece, we became more interested in what happens along the way. What if the process is art? What if communication itself becomes the experience?

The work is not the object, but the exchange. It lives in the time it takes, in the act of sending and receiving. Inspired by the New York Correspondence School of the 60s, Mail Art is an ongoing conversation, and a way to stay close across distance. Each piece begins with us and is mailed to someone else. They respond by adding to it or creating something new, then send it back. Evolving as it moves between people, shaped by each exchange.
